New Hartford, CT — Power Access Corporation, a leading manufacturer of door openers for the accessibility market, announces its new, patented Model 2300 automated door opener, specifically designed for the residential market. The slim design of this easy-to-install, lower-cost, lighter-weight door opener makes it ideal for home installation.
The Model 2300 may be installed on the door or the jamb, in either left or right-handed mode. Control of the opener is achieved through a built-in radio receiver that interfaces with either a Power Access-supplied remote control, or with ECU, sip, puff and other controls. Wireless or hard-wired wall plates, switches and controls are also available. Integration with electric strikes (locks) is accomplished through the unit’s integral 24-vdc transformer.
The 2300’s unique friction clutch arm and special gear motor both open and close the door and permit automatic or manual door operation. Cycle time to either open or close is from 7-8 seconds. “Hold Open” time can be set from 0 -30 seconds. The door opener weighs only 10 lb. and is just 12-3/4” wide x 6” high x 3-1/2” deep. It plugs into a standard household outlet with 115vac current and comes with a nine foot power cord. Battery back-up is also available.
For over a quarter century, Power Access Corporation has manufactured and sold automatic door openers for the accessibility market. The company’s 4300 Series serves commercial, institutional, industrial and retail markets. The new 2300 Series residential door opener incorporates the mechanical and electrical engineering experience of its commercial Series in a lower cost, lighter weight door opener.
